My dogs kidney values were a little off and our vet started him on Azodyl, which has helped a lot. She also suggested the Royal Kanin food or homemade with supplements. His pancreas felt enlarged as well, but after an US with a specialist they concluded it was slightly enlarged but within normal range. My dog has been on Keppra for several years for idiopathic seizures so I do wonder if this might be part of the reason for the kidney issues.

My baby girl caught Parvo recently. She is over a year old and was completely vaccinated. I’m so confused on how she caught it. I was told by our new vet that there are different strains of the virus. We had moved from the desert to a very wet and humid area. I’m not sure what we did wrong. My husband and I took our baby in right away. We had no idea that it was parvo until she was tested. We put her in the hospital because we had other pups at home. It was extremely expensive. As soon as we found out we called my daughter and had her remove all dog bowls. Also we laundered all our bedding as well as disinfect all furniture. All my pups were quarantined from eachother. Anyways my sweet girl made it. It was one of the longest weeks of our life. My main question is why did she catch parvo even after being fully vaccinated?

Today is June 20th 2024, at 4:24 am I am writing this comment, watching this video in a hope if still there is a chance for our lovely dog Pluto to make it. He is around 12yrs old, always lived his life proudly like a king, he is a very strong dog, but a few days ago we found that he has a kidney disfunction as his creatinine level is 16.2😢, its been two days he is getting drips and some medicines but there is no improvement. Now he barely walks, can't eat anything, always looks in our eyes as he is saying a final goodbye to us😭. I never wanted to see this time in my life but there is nothing we can do, every soul gets a reason to leave their body

I just found out my miniature poodle had a couple of crystals in his urine from a urine test done before he got his teeth cleaned! My new vet informed me and he is eating now hills c/d loves the food! And this will prevent further urine problems. Prescription food. Love my new Veternarian!!!!!

My little one has it and now my big one has it. I love my dogs so much they are my family. I feed them good and take good care of them. They get to run around on 47 acres in beautiful Southwest Oregon and it's early summer. Franklin is a 2 year old Bull terrier and Benjamin is a 3 year old Mastiff. I thought they were both 100% young dogs. I just don't understand how they got this??? I'm poor white trash I hope I can fix some them my self.

I have a 12 month female Boxer. I'm on the fence. She just got over her first heat. No chance to get pregnant. My concern is her overall health and quality of life. Read better to wait until she is 2 years then told right now before another heat. I'm not sure😢

I cant believe it.... I hear all this stuff and no one understands. Dogs teeth and gums are no different than humans. Dogs and humans gums will bleed. This is the source of their bad breath. Healthy gums do not bleed. The dead blood in their gums feeds bacteria hence stinking breath. Forget all those snake oil remedies... buy your dog leather chews and pig ears. Nature provides the answer. Ever saw a wild dogs teeth? Pretty and white, they'll have very hard gums and almost no oder. Its because they gnaw bones, dried skin, wood ect. Domesticated dogs are no different and its the owners who cause the most damage to thier pets oral problems. Take me advice and save yourself some trips to the vet. Make sure the have pig ears or leather chew toys, with occasionally a bone. If you give them a bones everytime it will screw up their digestive tracks resulting in super dry poop which is hard to pass. So leather chew and pig ears are best. It will clean the tartar from their teeth and make their gums hard, just like you...hard gums dont bleed but the poor animal cant brush their gums. Dont go trying to brush their gums because you can't do a good job like a pig ear. Best of all there cheap.

My two tiny Yorkies had all of their teeth pulled at ~6 or 7 years old; it took a couple of years to pay off that bill at $100 per month, and yet I can happily report they can and do easily eat their healthy small bites kibble and dehydrated organ meats, along with “human foods” like healthy fats and fresh vegetables; they are now healthy happy 10 & 11 year old treasures with many more happy years ahead 😍. On a side note, if left to her own devices, my tiny 3# fancies herself quite the hunter; while yet completely toothless and with a teeny mouth the size of one of my small fingers, she at 10 years old is still able to trap and dismember and even ingest small vertebrates, much to my dismay; we now contain her within a large back yard so as to allow to thrive the natural fauna in our neighborhood. My kid has ear allergy n scratching n head shaking now some discharge from ear. vet gave ear drops without any bacteria or mite testing under the microscope. So its just experimental basis drops not sure shot in india. Plus my kid doesn't allow me to put it in his ears he starts running around n starts playing hide n seek n says catch me if you can 😅😂 Having big problems Taking to the vet is not a solution in india where all they care about is the money they can collect from the pet parent.
